Don't have too many great pictures of this one either. This car was a WS6 301 Turbo Trans Am that I ordered directly from the factory order form. I had a friend that was a Pontiac big wig. It even had a factory CB radio/AM/FM/Cassette with power antenna. It would automatically switch from CB to radio and back and forth depending if someone was talking or not. It had every factory option except the engine block heater. Oh, and NO screaming chicken.

These are a few of the modifications I made to this car:

  • trimmed the front WS6 springs (you might be able to slide a piece of paper between the bump stop and the frame)
  • Koni SA shocks all around
  • Herb Adams adjustable 1 5/16" front bar with 5/8" rod ends for links
  • Herb Adams 1" bar on the rear
  • Herb Adams frame braces from the cowl to the control arm bolts
  • Herb Adams solid subframe bushings
  • raised spring eye mount on front of rear spring
  • Goodyear Wingfoot radials (they were the hot tire in 1980!)

Below are some pictures from an autocross where I use to run in Nashville. Wasn't a great day to take pictures plus, all of these shots came from old slides that I scanned and transfered to jpg files.

I had this one taken at the 1980 Solo II Nationals where I ran in CP on my street Goodyear Wingfoots!
