| Sunny on Saturday, cloudy Sunday, cool, temp's in the mid to upper 50's. | |
| Had a great time! Thanks to Tommy for letting me use his tires, I never could have finished as high as I did without them. Thanks again Tommy!!!! On top of that, Tommy beat me in my own car by .934 seconds. Looks like I have more work to do. Tommy is a master of perfectly pitching the car at just the right time and just the right amount. I told Tommy that I still consider him to be the best driver here in the Atlanta Region. Not to take away from Paul and Joel or anyone else, but Tommy has a knack of getting in anyone's car and immediately going fast. I felt I accomplished a lot this year and improved quite a bit. I guess my long layoff took more of a toll than I thought. Congratulations to Paul Barros for winning the Champion of Champions, you're an awesome driver in an awesome car Paul!!!! Thanks for the rides this year. You're right there with Tommy and I don't mean to take anything away from your victory. Matthew did great!!!!! I wish he hadn't had such bad luck on Saturday, things might have ended up differently. Maybe next year. But I was very proud of him. I think it was an awesome year for a kid that never even drove a kart until May. I can't wait for next year to see what he can do in a car.
